I want to preface this post that I am a major, major Highly Suspect fan and am part of MCID. The only reason I picked Voodoo Fest as my one, annual road trip festival is because my two favorite bands of Highly Suspect and Elle King are playing it. (And of course New Orleans is the best city in the world). That’s why I was floored to see my Twitter feed just now which puts the October “leg” of Highly Suspect’s tour in jeopardy including Voodoo Fest in two weeks. But seriously…get well Johnny and we love ya.
I’m super embarrassed and sorry to those I’ve let down. Just left the hospital, I have a broken ankle and I’m sick over it. Can you guys ask Dave Grohl if I can borrow his chair for Voodoo fest? Thank you guys for being supportive and understanding. #aclfestival #ACL2018

ACL FANS- The onsite Doctor just sent me to the hospital because my foot is all mashed up and I need to get it taken care or pronto. I was gonna play through the pain in a chair but they told me I need to get this shit casted and elevated before risking further injury. Im sorry.

To make matters worse…surgery may still be needed:
Wont know until i see the specialist next week

So I am no doctor but within two weeks he should be at a point where he’s comfortable enough to be in a walking boot or at the least sitting in a chair with it propped up ala Dave Grohl.
I was at Grohl’s first show in the throne, which was a July 4th show in Washington D.C., and I can tell you it was one of the best of many, many Foo Fighters shows I’ve seen.
